Cold Springs in Covent Garden

Scarf Asos // Grey Roll Neck NewLook // Jeans Asos // Boots Asos // Bag H &M (old) //Kate Belted Shawl Collar Coat Boohoo

Hello everyone.....now before I babble on may I just take some time in thanking every single person who has visited my blog. I am in awe of all the support! Thank you xxx

So the weekend adventures of PetrinaJadex has been quite minimal. I some how managed to catch a cold and have been unable to leave my house since coming back from Froyle Park. However the other half wanted to take me for some din dins and as much as I was cooped up in bed with my honey and lemon tea and large bottle of Buttercup I could not say no to some BIG EASY!

So a quick trip on the train and bam we arrived at Covent Garden-I Love this place! The architecture, creams/country like decor, quaint little boutiques and classic shops is like a shopaholics fairytale, I was fully emersed in my little bubble. After eating about a  pound and a half of adipose tissue and taking a lovely stroll it was decided my bed was needed as Mr Cold was setting in. Puffy eyes (as you can see in the above picture), red nose and complete with sneezing marathons decided to re-introduce themselves into my lifestyle and cut short my little adventure to Convent Garden boo!

Until next time.

Bleu

Blue Crop Top Missguided // Chi Chi Rosanna Skirt from the Chi Chi Couture Collection // Shoes Primark

So the wedding finally arrived! I have to admit I was worried not having a clue what to wear (as this was an Asian wedding) I refused to go in full western attire…..so off searching I went. I eventually came across this amazing brand called Chi Chi Clothing who specialise in prom, evening wear , cocktail dresses and skirts. Not wanting to be be too flashy I chose this amazing skirt with a detailed gold metallic design set onto various layers to create maximum effect. This paired with a pale blue crop top -which I initially wore tucked into the skirt gave me the exact 'wow' effect I was looking for.

This skirt also comes in a dress click here for a sneak preview. All sizes a true to fit -go and have a look and tell me what you think.  All products can be found by clicking on the links below:

The actual wedding was amazing! Full of laughter, camera posing and meeting old uni friends.
I wish my honey chub Sidra an amazing new life as a married woman and cannot wait for what your future has to bring

Love you Sid x

'Simplicity is the key note to all true elegance'

My sunday was spent lounging around in my pjs and editing pictures. When the  mister suggested we go for a Sunday roast at Browns Islington-my fav and a lil cinema date to watch Focus which I loved.

I decided to throw on some cheap bits-yes I said it cheap bits, so I was comfy. Now back to my last comment every item I am wearing is under £20..... luckly when purchasing my jeans Asos was having a 20% sale on all sale items so I took the opportunity to buy some good quality jean wear and these believe it or not were only £16. My top was a mere £5 and blazer was just £20. Shoes and bag were both £20 So in total my whole oufit was just over £80-Bargin!

The Truth Serum

Top Left to Right: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair-Synchcronized Recovery Complex II from £49.99 // Eve Lom IntenseHydration Serum £75.00 // Clarins Double Serum-Complete Age Control Concentrate in 30ml £55.00 (prices may vary depending on distributor) // Aesop Parsley Seed Antioxident £45.00 // Origins Original Skin £32.00 // Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster £47

Ok so I am back with my top six serums, which I either have, would buy or intend to buy.
So lets talk serums- what they are, benefits and costs.

Starting from the basics - skin care serums are the complete opposite from most conevntional skin care products as it formulation consists of smaller molecules allowing faster and deeper absorbtion of into the skin . This is great for those of us who suffer from oily skin. Although oily skin can be tamed during the winter periods as the seasons change to a warmer climate our skin can become a living oil slick! Which is were serums can arise and make their enterance. They can help in hydrating the skin and leaving the skin moisturised with out feeling to heavy.

Now serums are highly concentrated they are packed with antioxidents, peptides and skin brightners such as kojic acid-all the goodies needed for the first signs of anti-ageing or for those of us who have mature skin. This of course does mean you will have to dig deep in those pockets to purchase one of these bad boys.  Warning if you like to budget like I do, this may hurt you wallet for one-two weeks -not to be put of by the revelations as serums only require a tiny amount of product for maximum effect. Your serum is bound to last longer then you fav cream ot lotion as a little goes along way.

For those of you who suffer fromn skin conditions such as eczema or roscea, serums maybe a NO NO! Due to their fast penerative abilities serum can weaken the skin causing irritation, sensitivity and redness.

Products are designed to suit most skin type, but not all can satisfy the beauty world. Serums are best suited for those of mature, oily skin and normal-combination skin types or for those who are on quest to smooth their fine lines and reduce age spots - if this is you then run to go purchase yours.

Please remember I am not a trained beautician. So if you do decide to purchase a serum please test the product in-store get samples and do not forget to ask your beauty assistant on what they believe smaybe the ideal product for you skin type. They are there to help so nit pick their brains to make sure you are making the right investment.

All products can be purcahse in department stores and online retailers

The Concealer of the Hour

NARS Creamy Concealer-Amande

Ok so I feel for the hype! After watching numerous Youtube videos of the fab desiperkins and many others I just felt the need to test this so called amazing product. So off a galloped on my amazing unicorn to Selfridges for the full on NARS experiencing.

After wearing this concealer as my foundation for the last week and a half I must say it gets my thumbs….Now I am no makeup guru, but the coverage of this product is amazing. I have oily skin which leads to the build of sebum this causes me to have breakouts. Leaving my skin with dark pigmentation. I have tried many concealers but only a few manage to tame my oiliness (along with the help of a good primer) and cover my imperfections.

This product is exactly as described….it consistency is very creamy and does leave the higher areas on your face with a radiant glow. It has a medium to full coverage and can be used as a replacement for foundation if you prefer a more natural look. For me to achieve my natural face I simply spray my real techniques beauty blender with my MAC fix+ and blend the product outwards.

Now I unfortunately picked up Amande which is a prefect match for the contour areas of my face but not my inner sections-as this colour has a red undertone is does not match the yellow undertone of my skin. However to bring back my colour I simple place a small dab of my LA Girl Pro Concealer in fawn under my eyes and blend out with my finger. As I do not want this to be my daily routine I will be purchasing the NARS creamy concealer in the colour Caramel to use with my Amande which should then produce my skin tone-I say this with my fingers and toes crossed!

This product can also be used on those who suffer from sensitive skin as it is paraben, alcohol , synthetic free and non comedogenic.

Purple and Grey

Grey Top Primark// Black High Waisted Jeans River Island// Lilac Courts Ebay // Accessories Michael kors

So today was my chill edit day…..until I got surprised by my lovely mister to a late night dinner at Londinium. Now it was supposed to be fine dining attire, but as you can see I was not in the mood for the prepping of legs or wearing a tight fitted dress after a day of staring at a computer screen for hours on end about.

So I just threw on my grey crop top £3 from Primark, a pair of high waisted and for a little boldness my lilac fashion killers. I say fashion killers because they hurt like crazy…..but sorry one has to be on trend….even if it does involve pain :(

Nautical

Top Primark // Jeans F21// Shoes Next

Comedy show and drinks with the girls not wanting to be too dressy I decided on this simple number. Stripes are a must have this season,  and when I saw this cute top in Primark for none other then £5.00 (bargin) I snatched and grabbed, paid and then walked out of the door like a BOSS!

In the mean time, I would suggest you get your walking boots on and do the same before this little number is sold out!

Spring Transitions-The Nudes

From top left- Pink Textured Duster Coat  New Look £29.99 // Camel Sleeveless Double Breasted  Coat New Look £39.99 // Masculine Double Breasted Coat  Zara £109 // Cream Sleeveless Maxi Trench Coat River Island  £75.00 // Stone Draped Trench Coat  New Look £39.99 //
Light Brown Maxi Blanket Cape River Island £40

So spring is nearly here and many of you maybe be looking for lighter on trend outerwear, so I thought why not blog about must have coats for the London spring weather. I decided to focus on array of diferent designs all in fitting with the transition from winter to spring and from spring to summer. Each coat is well within the average London wage and is sure to make those fashionista amongst us turn and stare.

The coats (and trench): The pink duster -is has a A-line cut that will lengthen your body shape (if that is something that worries you) and along witht Zara double breatsed and stone draped New Look trench can easily be paired with your Nikes, heels in fact any footwear.....But to give these coats  maximum effect it would be best paired with a body shaping dress in a cool nude tone or if your not fussy just black......and ta da an instant Kim K look. For the double breasted coat I would advised this coat be best paired with skinnies or for a fuller effect -a full length primary coloured opaqued suite with the coat draped across your shoulders with slicked hair and a red lip.

The sleeveless effect has been long overdue.....Mango, Missguided and Zara have been stocking this design since AW/15 ! New Look and River Island have now enetered the game..... for look ideas I have done two looks on how to rock 'The sleeveless trench' look. Wether you decided to rock this with a crop top or plain white shirt there is no denying this is a must have item. This design of jacket can be taken into the summer season and easily paired with your fav high waisted shorts, white t-shirt and converse, for the casual look-a pair of ripped jeans a muted top will work perfectly and for those itimate dates a tigh fitting dress that accentuate the waist will be perfect along with a large clutch and minimal jewllery.
