How did the Vanity Planet SPS fair? Worth the price? Easy to use?
The VP SPS Cleansing and Exfloaiting brush is nothing new to us beauty junkies out there after all it has competition from the original Clarasonic and the up coming and well advertised Magnitone. Which like the SPS have been advertised as an exfloaitor which can be used on all skin types. So what differs this product from the rest?
Lets start with the price as stated before this product comes with a 70% discount code (please check link on previous blog) based on this factor I bought this product for a cost of under £40 (BARGIN). My product arrived in immpecable packaging with the sepcified shipping time and came with clear detailed instruction. The only extra cost incurred was £4.99 for battery costs.
The results from using this product, I must state have been amazing. The brush does not have a harsh feel, but actively manages to clear pores and dead skin leaving your skin feeling clean and freas from all product/s and the texture soft to the touch. I did not experience any development of blemishes or redness after use. (not at the same time) to ensure I was getting the maximum cleansing experience from my SPS. This was done twice a week.
I choose to only use my SPS twice a week as I have oily skin and suffer from breakouts. Due to this it was advised by dermotoloigist I used the product on a minimal basis, to ensure any breakouts were not spread due to the slight pressure of my SPS on outer layers of my skin. After each use I also placed a cold facial cloth over my face to ensure all my pores were closed before I toned and moisturised.
This product was well worth the investment and I have advised many of my friends to take the leap and make a purchase. But lets not forget beauty also comes from within. Drinking up to two litres of water per day and eating healthy fresh produce is a must if your trying to attain a spot-free complexion.

Planning ahead is something I rarely do, but today was different and straight after arriving home from work I decided to put together a quick outfit for my cinema date.
As we all know nudes and neutrals are a must this in the SS14 autumn/winter look books. So I decided to go with that theme, but to incorporate different textures and transitional (in season) colours. As a basic alternative to a primary muted tone covered by the occasional block coloured duster in creams and grey.
Fashion is a form of evolution and your paradiagm should always be processed and tested. Remember the subject is never the current you are always the current!……So fashionistas keep that clock running and never fall into the NOW!……Be one step ahead and be the up coming.

I ordered this product quite a few months ago after watching Natural Neiicey review on her youtube channel........click on the link below for her experience whilst using this product.
As many of you know I have never hidden the fact that I suffer from extremely oily skin and love the odd beat face, which can increase clogged pores and outbreaks. I have never ventured beyond facial cleansers, toners etc........so I decided to try a facial cleanser with a twist.
The SPS states it:
Removes more makeup and dirt then manual cleansing
Removes the impurities and dead skin
Reduces oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes
Minimises the appearance of visible pores and fine lines
As I have decided to do a review on the SPS, I will be using this product religiously for the next two weeks. Fingers crossed it does what it says on the box. Please remember the product is electronic and will require four AA sized batteries.

Ripped jeans and a simple top, how can you ever go wrong? After attending my local fireworks display I decided to take my daughter out for dinner. We dined at Canary Wharf's Brown (one of my fav restaurants) and then decided to have a little walk by regents canal.
As it was nothing special I decided to wear simple confortable clothes, but as I received so many compliments on my attire I decided to take a post picture of my outfit.

As it was leading up to Halloween I decided on an all black outfit. Not only was this outfit quick to put together but it refelected the simplicity of fashion and how a progressive fashionistas mind does not always need to exceberate elaborate and loudness in materialistic formats.
My bag and shoes are from none other then Primark (my official go to high street store). As they were bold secondary colours I choose to pair them together to allow a little flare but not overwhelming as I wanted my main focus to be the outfit.

So my partner and I decided to hit up the ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) in of course Amsterdam. And throughout my stay here Bobbi brown and revlon, have defo been my everyday go to. The sheer press instantly gives my skin and under eye area a refreshing uplift muting out any hyper pigmentation or acne scarring which is visible and is much lighter on my skin in comparison to the MAC Mineralize Skin finish.
On the other hand the most surprising is my new Balm Stain. Revlon have managed to revolutionise the concept of balms and created a product which after applying slowly metaphorsises into a stain meaning you can re-apply for a deeper colour or simply apply a clear or natural gloss if your want your lips to SPARKLE!

Yesterday was date night and I decided to go a little different with my sleeveless trench coat.
The drama and hassle it took just to receive this item was like no other. I had also ordered this coat in black, but unfortunately Missguided delivered it to the wrong address and a investigation is now open! RANT over let me begin.
So the weather has not been at its best but this coat had to be worn no matter how hard the rain was falling outside. It has been perfectly cut and has the ability to frame the body whilst un tied and tied. I decided to pair it with some cream courts from Primark which were a bargain at only £12. As I did not want to incorporate too many colours I opted for black trouser and a iconic bag to enhance the WOW factor. My denim shirt was a little spontaneous, but helped minimise colour blocking (a look I was not going for)

Summer Transitional Beauty Products...........

I recently decided to change the weekly products I use on my superficial skin. First thing was a range that could hep with my sebum problematic skin. I choose to test out the Korres facial cleanser and their pomegranate tonic lotion (enticing I know) which is more water based then off a cream "lotion" consistency. To recieve the best results the product must be used as a duo. I will be doing a review on both products once I start to see results, which at this current moment in time I am yet to see.
The second item is the new beauty must have "cleansing oil"........as I have not found the time on a high end beauty product splurge I saw this at my local supermarket and grabbed it. As soon as I got home I was rubbing this thing on my face like there was no tomorrow, and I must say I found it ridding my face of cake much easier than expected. I would highly rate this product although I am yet to use any high end quality oils, so do not take my judgement as a valid statement as there may be a shift in quality of these cleansing oils once I have tested some other brands.
As for the last three buys: lush caca marron ,lush trichomania solid shampoo, real techniques core collection. I am yet to test them. As I have never tested Lush products so I decided to try there organic handmade products as part of my hair regime.....oh and I've also decided to dye my hair for the first time in my life time (simple ole me I know). The thing I am really looking forward to though is my new real techniques brushes. The marriage of these brushes and my products when they beat my face is a straight up SLAY!!! xxx

So today was all about meeting new people. Sometimes entering a new relationship can leave you doubtful and mistified to "what comes next" well next was here, and it was the meeting of my partners best buddies and their partners in Angel.
I decided to blow dry my hair using the tension method and then add some plaits to gain a slightly wavy texture. Products used to acheive this method was my: Aphogee Curlific texturizer and my homemade coconut and olive oil shea butter mixture, I then used my afro pik to add volume.

and am totally in love with. I wanted a cool tone of creams so decided to pair it with my suede leather jacket (which I have had for ages) and bag/clutch for a slight boho chic look. I hope you all like xxx

Greetings!!!! So I be been on another mini mini haul. Summer has arrived (FINALLY) and I wanted my skin to be at it's best, so I decided to purchase the yesto facial wipes winner of the Allure Best of Beauty: Natural wonders 2011. The company website states the wipes are
•98% Natural
•Oil-Free, non-comedognic, hypoallergenic
•Petroleum, SLS and Paraben free
•Cruelty-free
Both wipes lives up to their expectations. The texture and durability of each wipe was quite amazing and I could feel the difference from your typical low end drug store facial wipe. Each stroke took an excessive amount of product, with little or no left over residue.
The cucumber wipes however left a little a tingle all over my face once all my makeup had been removed and didn't quite have the "soothing" effect on my skin as stated in the packet. However it has not been a deterant as I am still using the product.
Overall I would highly rate this product as an effective make-up remover and will be purchasing more.
Summer nails are alway key to any look.....during the summer there is alway a natural light that doesn't hesitate to pin point flaws and my nails were going to be ready this year. This is the year of pastels and nudes and I decided on a primary white with a slight cream undertone and a lilac to add to me collection. Both products I must state are amazing and well worth that dolla y'all.
My sleek #4 lip palette was a unconscious but it reflected some key colours that I thought would suite my skin tone. Each base has a thick consistency and dries to a matte finish. I would recommend this products for those who are indecisive of key colour for the day or for an easy day to night make-up transformation when on the go.
Last but not least my MAC zoom lashes massacra all I can say is for extra length. This is a must!!! It has now become a staple in my collection. It has a deep noir finish and really does "ZOOM" those lashes! Defo thumbs up from me!

Date Night!!! Totally in love with florals right now. I was a little unsure about this dress when a first received it ,but decided to give it a chance. Good thing I did because now I'm in love with her I call her pasha and she's my new best friend.
As for the shoes they are literally fashion killers designed to hurt and sting! All I can say about these is they increased my pain tolerance!

Duck and Waffle was the location, which may I state was amazing. I wanted to experiment with a bit of colour and decided on this! The colours where vibrant and the dress hugged my figure to perfection!!! The only down fall was trying to hold in my bang belly after dinner!

So tody was about summer vibing, was invited to a private gig in Brick Lane and decided to fling this on. This dress was all that I imagined emphasised my curves and fully exploited my legs in a liberal manner of course!
And you also may of noticed I've been wearing my BUSH (my hair) out a lot more. To get extreme volume I simply do two plaits at the front and two in the black and middle so that's six in total, using my own shea butter mix. X

In order to achieve the above style I used olive oil to lock in moisture, water for my detangler Design Control cream Gel to define my twist out and a hair bungee to slightly uplift my hair.

New Finds......

So I haven't worn a backpack since SECONDARY school!!! But as soon as this popped into my view, it was in my hand and on the counter ready to be purchased...... I wasn't playing with this find, lol.

This day was strictly Kyra-Lei's day !!! lol which meant shopping, eating and a long time spent in the Disney store. We stopped at a local restaurant called the The Greek which serves little hot and cold Meze I would not suggest a visit there ........food lacked flavour and serving time was over 45 minutes! The seating area still had food on the floor from the previous customers EWWWWW!
